Litang, a place where time slows down

On the plateau in the southwest of China, there is a beautiful place called Litang. A person’s name is closely associated with Litang, and that person is Tsangyang Gyatso. Tsangyang Gyatso is one of the most influential poets in Tibetan history, and his works are deeply loved by the Tibetan people. His poems depict his love for life, his awe of nature, and his deep attachment to love. Litang County is located in the west of Sichuan Province, in the southwest of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and is known as the “City in the Sky”. Here, there is the majestic Genie Shenshan. Like a huge guardian, it stands between heaven and earth. The peaks soar into the clouds, surrounded by mist, making people marvel at the magic and grandeur of nature. The Maoya Grassland is vast and boundless, stretching to the horizon like a green ocean. On this grassland, wildflowers are in bloom, and there are flocks of cattle and sheep, just like a vibrant picture. The mysterious Changqingchunke’er Monastery is solemn and majestic, carrying profound religious and cultural heritage. The Buddha statues in the monastery are solemn and kind, making people feel a sense of peace and comfort in their hearts. The lakes in Litang are like pearls inlaid on the earth. The lake water is so clear that you can see the bottom, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, like a dreamy and illusory scene.
