Zigong Dinosaur Museum is one of the three largest dinosaur museums in the world. It is currently the place with the largest collection and display of Jurassic dinosaur fossils in the world. Zigong Dinosaur Museum is directly built on the dinosaur fossil site, allowing visitors to directly observe the on – site excavation.

There is a complete fossilized skeleton of Mamenchisaurus, the largest dinosaur in the world.
There is the world’s most complete Stegosaurus fossil.
The museum exhibits the footprints of large dinosaurs, skin fossils, and other prehistoric insect fossils. There are also the smallest dinosaur footprints, about 1 cm in size, which are speculated to be the footprint fossils of a baby dinosaur.

The museum has two exhibition halls. The first hall you enter in the park is the earliest one, built in the 1980s. However, a huge exhibition space has been established now, displaying complete fossilized skeletons of various large and small dinosaurs. The second hall was completed in 2023, mainly providing interactive visits and popular science about prehistoric organisms.
