Encounter the Sunrise and the Sea of Clouds

The Dawagengza Scenic Area is located in Gari Village, Qiaoqi Tibetan Township, Baoxing County, Ya’an City, Sichuan Province. The scenic area covers an area of nearly 50 square kilometers, with the highest altitude of the cloud top at 3,866 meters. It belongs to the Qionglai Mountains, with the terrain being higher in the north and lower in the south. It is known as “the best 360° viewing platform in Asia that is accessible”.
Dawa Gengza, which means “beautiful sacred mountain” in Tibetan, offers a panoramic view of famous mountains such as the Four Sisters Mountain to the north, Pagra Sacred Mountain to the south, the Gongga Mountain range to the west, and Mount Emei to the east. It also features various landscapes including cloud waterfalls, sea of clouds, golden mountains bathed in sunlight, Buddha’s light, starry sky, meadows, lakes, canyons, peaks, rime ice, and alpine rhododendrons. The scenic area is renowned for its sea of clouds, sunrise, Buddha’s light, rime ice, meadows, and alpine rhododendrons.
