
1.Langzhong Ancient City, an old city with a history of more than 2,300 years, is located in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. It is one of the four famous ancient cities in China. Although Langzhong Ancient City is relatively less well-known compared to the other three ancient cities, its charm cannot be ignored. - Huaguang Tower, the first tower in Langzhong, also known as the Ancient Zhenjiang Tower, is one of the landmark buildings of the ancient city and the highest point of the ancient city. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and was originally used for military purposes. In the Qing Dynasty, it was rebuilt into a wooden attic with a total height of 36 meters. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can have a panoramic view of the whole ancient city. The four main streets are in the shape of a “cross”, and the surrounding ancient building groups are very neat. The distant mountains and the flowing Jialing River form a beautiful picture.
- In Langzhong Ancient City, you can admire the traditional folk house building groups in northern Sichuan, as well as many historical sites and cultural attractions. Such as: Wulong Temple, Langzhong Confucian Temple, Langzhong Ancient City Wall, the Imperial Examination Hall, the Prefectural Office, Zhangfei Temple and Langzhong Museum, etc. These attractions are all important parts of Langzhong Ancient City and have witnessed the glorious history and cultural heritage of the ancient city.
- Strolling in the ancient city is like being in a flowing historical picture scroll. On both sides of the streets full of life, there are a wide variety of shops selling local specialty snacks and handicrafts. The most representative ones are the “Three Wonders of Langzhong”: Baoning Vinegar, Zhangfei Beef and Langzhong Steamed Bun. Here, you can not only appreciate the ancient architectural styles but also taste the authentic Langzhong cuisine, making people feel the charm and flavor of the ancient city.
